I’m Kelly Grunewald — a private chef, caterer, and food stylist based in New York City. After spending years in the corporate world, I decided to follow my passion for food full-time. I trained at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE), worked as a line cook at Sailor in Brooklyn under Chef April Bloomfield, and staged at Michelin-starred restaurants across New York to hone my craft.

Plated by Kelly was born out of my love for creating memorable, seasonal meals that bring people together. I specialize in catering and private chef experiences for everything from intimate dinner parties and brand activations to bespoke events and celebrations. Whether it’s a beautifully styled grazing board or a multi-course, full-service dinner, each menu is thoughtfully curated and visually designed to reflect the tone, taste, and style of the occasion.

I bring a food stylist’s eye to every dish — using high-quality ingredients, bold flavors, and artistic plating to elevate each bite. From sourcing ingredients and designing the tablescape to prep, service, and clean-up, I take care of every detail so you can relax and enjoy the moment.
